For those who prefer a once-monthly option, the extended-release buprenorphine injection (like Sublocade® and Brixadi®) provides relief from withdrawal symptoms and cravings with just one dose a month.

Used as part of our outpatient recovery programs (OTP and OBOT), naltrexone (including Vivitrol®) is a medication that blocks the effects of opioids and reduces cravings.

What is the first day of treatment like?
Your first day may take 2-3 hours and includes:

- Medical evaluation: A BHG provider will conduct a physical exam, review your medical history and discuss treatment options. If appropriate, medication treatment can begin the same day.

What are the medication dispensing hours?
Medication dispensing hours are separate from general business hours and are set to ensure safe and consistent care. Patients must receive their doses during these times, as medications cannot be dispensed once dispensing hours have ended for the day.
