What is the first day of treatment like?
Your first day may take 2-3 hours and includes:
- Intake assessment: We’ll review your health history, substance use and recovery goals to understand your needs.
- Medical evaluation: A BHG provider will conduct a physical exam, review your medical history and discuss treatment options. If appropriate, medication treatment can begin the same day.
- Personalized treatment plan: Before you leave, our team will walk you through your treatment plan, including counseling and next steps for ongoing care.

What are the medication dispensing hours?
Medication dispensing hours are separate from general business hours and are set to ensure safe and consistent care. Patients must receive their doses during these times, as medications cannot be dispensed once dispensing hours have ended for the day. Can I transfer my treatment to BHG Paintsville Treatment Center?

What happens if I relapse?
Relapse does not mean failure. At BHG Paintsville Treatment Center, if a relapse occurs, our team works with you to understand what happened and adjust your treatment plan. Yes. Take-home medication is available to patients who meet federal and state criteria for safety and stability. Eligibility is determined by your provider and treatment progress. Our goal is to ensure both convenience and safe use while supporting your recovery.
