Medications Medications

  • Methadone Treatment

Provided through our opioid treatment program (OTP), methadone is taken daily under medical supervision. It helps relieve withdrawal symptoms, reduces cravings and stabilizes patients.

  • Buprenorphine Treatment (Suboxone®)

Offered both in-clinic (OTP) and by prescription (OBOT), buprenorphine (including Suboxone®) provides flexibility for patients. It controls cravings and withdrawal symptoms while supporting long-term stability.

  • Extended-Release Buprenorphine (Sublocade® and Brixadi®)

For those who prefer a weekly or once-monthly option, the extended-release buprenorphine injection (like Sublocade® and Brixadi®) provides relief from withdrawal symptoms and cravings with just one dose.

  • Naltrexone Treatment (Vivitrol®)

Used as part of our outpatient recovery programs (OTP and OBOT), naltrexone (including Vivitrol®) is a medication that blocks the effects of opioids and reduces cravings.

All in all it isn't a terrible option if you're looking to get on methadone or Suboxone treatment and not go through a inpatient months long stay at a facility. The front end staff, particularly Denise, are the biggest redeeming qualities of this place. There is a high turnover rate regarding employees though as I've personally seen different front end staff, dosing nurses, security, and tons of counselors change in the 2 years I've been going to this location over spans of just a few weeks. The parking lot is also awfully terrible- and has been since I started going. The potholes are so huge that I've seen them blow tires and leave people stranded, myself included, and all it would take is about $100 worth of bag n' press asphalt to fix the issue but it never gets done; which I don't believe is a problem of the staffs in that particular building but more so a problem for BHG Corporate to solve, and they should want to solve it- as not only cars are taking the brunt end of these potholes and gashes but plenty of people have fallen and tripped as well. It's just not a good luck when you have patients that are in wheelchairs, on crutches and canes, and getting in and out of Transportation not knowing whether or not they are about to get out into a pothole full of rainwater. Anyway, I couldn't be happier to have Denise and her current front end partner there right now, they are the Saving Grace for what has the potential to be an excellent treatment and recovery center, the hiring staff just need to get some better staff consistency figured out, and the doctors need to get better patient care figured out. Moreover, the doctors there are very unavailable to patients, unless you are a brand new intake patient, which makes it very hard to get in front of them to go over any type of dose increases you may need or talk over treatment plans. One of the two doctors lives all the way in Maryland and I can count on one hand how many times I may happen to see him there a month. Anytime I would like to speak to a doctor, the current dosing nurses always tell me to refer to my counselor, which my counselor isn't even on site ever, not to mention I've had at least seven different ones since I've been a patient there and it's honestly a gamble if my current one even calls me each month and checks in so referring to my counselor does no good.

My brother is a patient there and has been for a while. I've never thought good things about any methadone clinic because of all the addiction I've had to deal with in my family over the years but I have to say that the staff at BHG is so respectful and professional. They have been so compassionate and understanding when it comes to dealing with my brother and that makes me feel relieved because I know this time around in this stage of his life that he will get better. Thanks BHG STAFF and a special Thanks to DENISE🤗🙏 Ms F Keith

BHG is the best and most professional clinic that I’ve ever been associated with. Been in programs in New Jersey and New York and North Carolina and I can honestly say that BHG and their staff are the best. I have to give special and personal props to Chyna. She’s the nurse with the burst of positive energy everyday. Early in the morning when your not feeling like being there she will put a smile on your face without even saying anything. Big ups to the entire staff, but Chyna….Shes the BOMBDIGGITY!!!
