The program is costly. They do take insurance. I just have the wrong insurance. It is a calm place. They keep it so that its not emberrassing to go. I have been there....well awhile. They do not tell you how long you can stay. For some people its a few months some a few years. For others there are lifers. Its not because they just want your money. Its because everyone is different. My life has been more on point since i started the program. I work i dont search for drugs. Im happy. My emotions are not all over the place. I see a counsoler i have always had the same one. Every year you get a phsyical to keep watch on your kidneys and body fuctions. If you are serious about getting legal and getting better. This place will work. But you have to put the work in. You will go daily. For awhile. You will take drug test. You have hoops to jump through. But you will be getting treatment from day one. If you are repectful to them they will be the same to you in return. I am thankful to the entire process and to the people who come there and work who have helped me.

What is the first day of treatment like?

Your first day may take 2-3 hours and includes:

  • Medical evaluation: A BHG provider will conduct a physical exam, review your medical history and discuss treatment options. If appropriate, medication treatment can begin the same day.

Do I need to come in every day for medication?

How is office-based opioid treatment different from an opioid treatment program (OTP)?

Open FAQ Close FAQ

Office-based opioid treatment (OBOT) uses buprenorphine/Suboxone® and follows a more traditional doctor’s appointment model. Unlike an OTP, OBOT does not require daily visits for medication dosing. Instead, patients meet regularly with a provider, receive prescriptions and continue treatment through scheduled follow-ups and counseling.
