I've been at this clinic for over 15 years and I've had my ups and downs. Tbh tho most of the bad stuff has been my fault😆 a lot of people be blaming the clinic for losing take homes, not getting to dose etc. When really it's cause they failed a drug test or showed up late, didn't pay fees, missed med count, etc. 9/10 the problems I've had here are my own doing but a few times yes it was the clinics fault. Overall bhg at Bernard is a decent clinic. It's clean, staff is nice, oh and I absolutely LOVE my counselor Terri💯 she's the best and nurse Jackie 💕 her.

There aren't many newer reviews so I'll just leave one. To be honest this place is great. I don't know if a few years ago that was a different story but as of recently I know that the only issues I had was there's just so many people in weekdays, especially early in the morning (which is good for Knoxville.. less addicts on the streets.. but it can increase wait times substantially). They need more counselors, because the counselor to patient ratio is just unfair to everyone. Even with all of that id still rate it 5 stars if not for the wait times. (Which can only really be remedied by taking less people, which is bad for the community at large, or giving more people access to take homes, which can be problematic if the patient hasn't "earned" them or has lost that privilege.) Obviously if they'd allow a persons bill to be a certain level behind and still get taken homes that could help with the wait times, but that's something they'd have to do so carefully. (A surprising amount of people don't qualify for take homes because they owe money, and it can be hard to catch up once they get behind.) All and all this place is a plus for the community, and for my own health I'd say I probably would've relapsed a few times over without it. You can't be blame bhg for Americans chronic lack of access to healthcare/insurance, but there are a few little things I feel that they can do to help with wait times.. overall though I think the place is working and it's doing a great service for the community whether people want to admit that or not.
