Medications Medications

  • Methadone Treatment

Provided through our opioid treatment program (OTP), methadone is taken daily under medical supervision. It helps relieve withdrawal symptoms, reduces cravings and stabilizes patients.

  • Buprenorphine Treatment (Suboxone®)

Offered both in-clinic (OTP) and by prescription (OBOT), buprenorphine (including Suboxone®) provides flexibility for patients. It controls cravings and withdrawal symptoms while supporting long-term stability.

  • Extended-Release Buprenorphine (Sublocade® and Brixadi®)

For those who prefer a weekly or once-monthly option, the extended-release buprenorphine injection (like Sublocade® and Brixadi®) provides relief from withdrawal symptoms and cravings with just one dose.

  • Naltrexone Treatment (Vivitrol®)

Used as part of our outpatient recovery programs (OTP and OBOT), naltrexone (including Vivitrol®) is a medication that blocks the effects of opioids and reduces cravings.

I owe my 4 and 1/2 years of sobriety to this clinic. All the staff members are respectful and helpful. The doctor helped me get onto split dosing when I was struggling at work to stay awake. The front desk staff is always friendly with me and the dosing nurses are great! The one time I interacted with the clinic nurse, she was super friendly too. The expectations for phasing are the same as any other methadone clinic. Communication is key and excuses are unaccepted. I get a month of take-home doses with the expectation that I attend one group counseling session or one one-on-one session per month. There was a period of time where groups on the schedule did not have the counselor show up, but if you communicate and plan ahead (#adulting) then there are plenty of other groups you can choose from. The program and clinic are there to help people with substance abuse better themselves by providing resources. It is fully up to the participant whether they are ready to put in the work to get there. The wait times to dose compared to other clinics and locations are much shorter in my experience. I have gone to several other Denver clinics. BHG Centennial is clean and it is a short walk to the light rail.
