Company History
Behavioral Health Group was founded in April 2006 and quickly grew to 23 treatment centers across 7 states in the first 6 years. The company was established with a clear goal: to provide evidence-based treatment for patients struggling with substance use disorders, with a focus on opioid use disorders. Initially offering methadone treatment on a cash-pay model, the organization laid its foundation on the belief that recovery should be rooted in evidence, professional integrity and respect for every patient’s journey.
Today, with more than 110 locations in 20+ states, BHG is the largest network of Joint Commission-accredited outpatient opioid treatment centers in the United States. The organization remains committed to its founding mission—offering personalized treatment that restores lives, strengthens families and rejuvenates communities.
